After fighting a nap for almost an hour, I finally gave Lila a time on the clock when she could get up. I was hoping that she'd fall asleep while waiting... but no such luck. She just laid and stared down the clock.

Mallory's Dance Recital
Here are some snapshots from Mallory's dance recital last weekend. She won the "fantastic tapper" award for her class and is now remotivated to continue taking dance lessons. The first set of pics are from the ballet number and the second set from the tap number. Mallory obviously enjoys being on stage.
And, of course, flowers from Daddy.

Congratulations Biggio!!
Kevin and I were amid the 42,000+ fans at Minute Maid park to watch history in the making. Craig Biggio made his 3,000th hit last night. Not only that, but he had a 5 hit game, which he hadn'd had since 2001. The game also ended in the 11th inning when we were down by one with two outs with a game-winning grand slam by Carlos Lee! Much excitement.

The Windy City
Kevin and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by taking a much needed vacation (sans children - yay!) to Chicago. We had a great time enjoying some r&r and not being on a schedule!
Of course, I couldn't quite leave the camera behind. Here are a few pics...
Fireworks at Navy Pier:
The bean-shaped mirror thingie (I'm sure it has a much more sophisticated name) at Millenium Park:
Scenic shot of downtown:

Waiting for the subway.... (I am not a huge fan of public transit - I had to get out of my comfort zone a little!):
We ate lunch one day Gino's East Pizzaria. We were SO stuffed and couldn't even finish a medium pizza between the two of us.
